Fauna
Fauna across The Outcropping are mostly cold-blooded and reptilian, though there are some smaller mammals throughout the -Space with the notable exception of the Eeniimar. Generally, fauna can be found in the coolest possible places during the light, and a warm place during the dark. Some larger fauna, specifically the Kiindem, Vaakoiz, and Urgai have all been known to attack xiruens, and other omneuttians.
Aisanee (I-shuh-neh)
Large-omneuttian sized lizards that can be found across The Outcropping. They travel in packs and have been known to attack not only xiruens, but also their unee, both when traveling between and at the outskirts of communities where unee are bred and raised. Aisanee have shown some intelligence and cooperation their attacks, retreating while another attacks to use the advantage of their numbers in a different way than just overwhelming with sheer force.

Eeniimar (eh-nih-muhr)
This animal is only found in the region of Pan Arbnhap, and specifically not in the colder areas of the region. The size of the pack is used as an indicator of the health of the area—many eeniimar keep the pest of epbee under control—and a large population indicates availability of much water. What the pack considers their territory is aggressively patrolled by several adult eeniimar, but young eeniimar that aren’t the direct offspring of an adult have been attacked as well.

Epbee (aehp-beh)
Epbee are small lizards seen as pests by most in The Outcropping, including other species of animals. The tail spikes on unee are believed to help prevent the smaller lizards climbing on them, and eeniimar aggressively patrol their territories to remove the epbee. Throughout The Outcropping they are omnivores eating mostly insects and fruits, but in the region of Pan Arbnhap specifically they have been observed diving for fish and jumping to grab birds that fly too low.

Kiindem (kwihn-daehm)
The largest known creature in The Outcropping, kiindem have been recorded to actively hunt almost all other forms of life in Xiruen-Space, including the sentient species themselves. Standing on all fours, a fully-grown adult kiindem can raise its head higher than a xiruen. These lizards are large enough and strong enough to toss unee into the raised caves they normally dwell in.

Sudamin (show-duh-maihn)
Viewed as a pest similarly to the epbee but not a lizard, sudamin are small creatures with a striped tail roughly equal in size to the rest of their bodies. Their diet consists almost entirely of insects, though they have been observed eating fruits and vegetables in parts of Pan Arbnhap to attract insects to eat, like a trap. Like the epbee, they may have climbed on wild unee, as unee that have been breed by xiruen for thicker tail meat swat at the small creatures with their spiked tails.

Unee (ow-neh)
Most frequently encountered across The Outcropping as livestock, raised for meat and in some cases other things such as scales or bones. Most unee both wild and domestic come in either red or blue breeds, though the gold/brown and green scaled breeds are often worth more for scales than meet to they’re harder to find. They are a hardy creature, especially as livestock and don’t require very specific living conditions, and consume almost any kind of vegetation though they prefer groups. Every larger creature in The Outcropping hunts unee both in the wild and as livestock.

Urgai (owr-gI)
These lizards main method of hunting in The Outcropping is to bury in loose sand and use the spikes on its back, head, and tail as distraction to ambush unsuspecting prey. These spikes can look like ore deposits to some xiruen, or a mineral lick or deposit to some animals, attracting all kinds of prey. Prey who attempt to escape the ambush can be chased down due to the speed of the urgai from their long legs.

Vaaakoiz (vA-wkoyz)
Most writings on this creature are little more than speculation, as there are very few confirmed sightings, with just enough to know that it looks like the daekoiz from Parallelium. They are not believed to be related, but it is said that the similarity led to this animal receiving a similar name. Their skin and scales enable them to blend in to a variety of sceneries in The Outcropping, and are very elusive for their size.
