Released in 2006 for the Nintendo DS, these three games are being remade into 2021’s Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl (Platinum is not being remade). I’m excited to see what the music of these originals becomes with the Switch’s hardware capabilities. Diamond/Pearl/Platinum is widely credited as one of the most successful generations in Pokemon history in several aspects, including gameplay, story, Pokémon design, combat meta, and music. Previous generation remakes – for example Heart Gold and Soul Silver – have had very interesting and captivating music changes, so I am interested to see how this song is remade in particular.
