Ypx here—back for another weekly Soundtrack Saturday. We haven’t done one of these in a while and I’m determined to get back to that. I’ve already prepared our listenings for the rest of the month!
We last discussed Super Mario Galaxy back in 2017. This track is from the first galaxy you see in the game, Gateway Galaxy and is extremely relaxing and subdued—a great auditory indicator for the rest of the game. Released in 2007 and rereleased as part of Mario’s 35th anniversary in late 2020, Super Mario Galaxy was another big-step-forward in 3D platforming heralded by Nintendo’s plumber.
