In Extremis Overture

I said just a while ago that I’d be posting content soon, and here’s the start of it!

This track is the stand alone Overture for the series, in the sense that it doesn’t have thematic material that ties to specific events in any book or plot (that I’ve so far written). What it does have is a sense of space and emptiness, along with a sense of adventure. I feel that this piece conveys those two central ideas pretty well, and I’m proud of it.

Eventually, this will be re-arranged for a more In Extremis arrangement, with the instruments/sounds I like for the series, but for now- enjoy it in a String Quartet arrangement.
