Hopefully, this isn’t my last post on the website for the month but due to some uncontrollable circumstances with my school, I may not be in a proper housing situation until September. My flight leaves the 22nd, leaving me (I thought) with plenty of time to get set up. Oh well, such is life.
Anyway, I’ve gotten some stuff done over the past week or so, and I wanted to share that independently of the end-of-month wrap up.
First up, I’ve got a piece of concept art, a quick comp that is one of (hopefully) three you’ll be seeing in the coming weeks. As you can see the trees have gotten even larger from the last piece of art I posted for the Quarryn and their environment may be a little hilly. Still something I’m playing with.
Second, are two pieces of graphic design that greatly resemble medieval banners/standards. They’ll be used throughout In Extremis for different organizations and some various other things. In fact, you’ll see them used quickly.
Next up I have two more pages that hopefully are legible at the small size. If you’ve been keeping up with the website, or have had the opportunity to read the book, you’ve probably heard me toss around the OLAH or Omne Lata Ad-Hocracy with some frequency. They’re the government-of-sorts in Omneutta during Chasing Shadows. Here’s two pages that offer a sort of briefing.
Lastly, I have over a minute of atmospheric music- but not just any atmospheric music. It’s a preview of the direction I’ll be taking with the Avotoc music that will be present throughout the soundtrack of Chasing Shadows. It’s essentially an acoustic guitar with a steady rhythm playing on a beach, but there’s a little something else. More work on the melodic progression when actual tracks are being worked on.
